It's football season! This makes me happy. We LOVE football! College, Pro, and most especially, my son's high school team! They opened the season Friday night. Which I'm happy to say was a win!! I get to be the team photographer again and take game photos from the sidelines. You get really pumped for the game when you are there with the players and coaches. These kids really put their heart in to the game! Hoping for another great season!
This layout was made using a template by Scrapping With Liz (June SO Template 1); the digital kit Sports:Football by Sahlin Studios; and the digital kit Grid Iron Grit by Quirky Twerp.
Etc by Danyale has a new digital kit out called Abundant. It is splendiferous! Lots of beautiful papers and gorgeous elements! I used it to create this altered box.
The plan is to store 4x6 photo prints in the box. Wow - I'm actual going to organize something in a pretty box! Makes me thrilled!!!
I used the Silhouette Cameo to help me create this. First I clustered the individual flower/foliage elements in Photoshop and applied the shadows. Then I laid out my design in the Silhouette Studio software. I dragged in the paper and the flower clusters (one saved with the foliage, one without the foliage).
I traced and cut the flowers/flower+foliage clusters. I then stacked them and adhered them on top of each other to give it some depth without being bulky. I also traced and cut the letter for the word "photos" and decoupaged that to the box as well. Ink around the edges helps to define, age and add a little zing to the project.
Another paper from the kit added a bit of detail to the sides of the box. The ribbon is American Crafts.
Thanks for stopping by!

We enjoyed a bonfire on the beach on a recent vacation. It made for lots of laughs and great memories. It just had to be the first photo that I scrapped after we returned. I used my Silhouette to design the layout of the page and cut all the details. The moon, stars and brackets are cut through the layers of papers. The actual title and journaling were printed on the back (white) paper.
The campfire is a file in the Silhouette Shape store. I made it into a "beach" fire by adding sand. Yes, actual sand from the beach that we visited. I mixed the sand with some Art Glitter Elements (E33 Cuttings and E37 Morocco). I ran the paper oval through my Xyron to apply adhesive for the sand mixture to stick to, sprinkled the mixture on and then spritzed with a little bit of Beacon Adhesive spray decoupage sealer to keep it in place!
This page I did using digital kits and elements. The kits I used are Blue Skies, Midnight Sun and Sugar Sand Beach all by Etc by Danyale. I blended a few papers together to create the cloudy blue/green/gray background for the panoramic photo. I started with a template by Scrapping with Liz, which I turned on it's side. Don't you just love when a template helps you get your memories scrapped faster?!
