Another Autumn Birthday

This is a busy time of year for birthdays in our family. I love it 'cause I get to make more cards!!  This is for my brother. I wanted it to have a good "Autumn" feel to it.  That helped me in the selection of the color scheme.

The papers are an oldie but goodie from Pink Paislee called Hometown Summer believe it or not!  I cut the shapes using my Silhouette Cameo.  The sentiment was also done with the Cameo, I used the Amy Chomas Adjustable Pen Holder and a fine line marker to sketch the "happy birthday".

The burlap not only added to the Autumn feel, but also helped to increase the masculine look and texture of the card.

Football Birthday

My son plays football and loves it! Since we are celebrating his 17th birthday, I had to make a football card for him. I found the image of the player doing a Google search. I brought it into the Silhouette software, traced it, them broke it down into the various components; jersey, arms, legs, etc.

I used his team colors and made the jersey number 17 for his birthday.

What's a birthday without cake?  Inside the card is a pop-up cake!

Even though this was to be a "guy" card, I still had to add a bit of bling!  I glittered up the icing detail for the card.  He really liked it!  And that's what matters!

Slam Dunk Birthday

Made this for a special someone that has a birthday coming up.  I saw a similar design on Pinterest and went about finding what supplies I had that I could use.  Apparently I gave away all my basketball stickers when my son stopped playing the sport!  So I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the hoop and ball from cardstock.  The paper that I used for the ball background looks and feels like a basketball. It's all shiny and nubby. Really neat!

Using the text feature in the Silhouette software, I designed the word art.  The striped paper is BoBunny, the card stock is American Crafts and Bazzill.

Thanks for stopping by!
