Today seems like a good day to be looking ahead. For me that means getting my planner ready for the rush of holiday to-do lists, events, happenings and fun!
I created this month overlay for December 2016 to go in my Erin Condren Life Planner. I used a few digital scrapbook kits that I have. Winter Traditions by Etc by Danyale is a great kit that lends itself to whimsy, cute as well as charming and relic.
I laid out the overlay directly in my Silhouette Studio software. I then used the print and cut feature to print it and cut out the design. Since the shape is basically 2 rectangles, you could easily lay this out in your photo editing software, print it and cut it using a rotary cutter or scissors.
I printed it onto sticker paper from Staples. That way I don't even need to apply any adhesive. just peel and stick it on my planner and BAM! I'm decorated for the holidays!

Hi! I've got a Freebie for you! It's a printable October 2016 month overlay for your planner, or calendar. Don't use a planner? You can also use these on scrapping pages, as a desk calendar, or hang them on your refrigerator to help track your busy month!
Are you a planner? I just got back into using a planner. I used to use a planner years ago, but never decorated it. I've wanted to go back to using a planner for a while. After researching and looking at various planners, I decided to go with the Erin Condren Life Planner. I'm really having fun keeping myself organized and getting little bits of creative time while using my planner. It's so fun! While this overlay is sized to fit the ECLP (Erin Condren Life Planner), it will also fit the Happy Planner, and most planners that are approximately 7"x9".
The Moon Laughs and Whispers and the coordinating Stamp Set to create these pages. Such an awesome kit for showcasing Halloween memories in a glamorous, vintage way. You can download the overlay .pdf file below.
This is how the overlay looks in my planner.
Here's how to use the file. It is a .pdf file with 2 pages. Page 1 is the left side of the calendar, page 2 is the right side of the calendar. Simply print it out on either cardstock or sticker paper. Then cut around the edge and adhere over the October 2016 page in your planner. If you don't have a planner, you can use these as a calendar, on your desk. refrigerator or on scrapbook pages.
I printed it on sticker paper from Staples. Made it really easy to adhere in my planner book. I also created other planner decor using the elements from the kit as well as Time Teller Journal Cards by Etc by Danyale. I'm using these to decorate some of the weekly pages in my planner. I'll be sharing more about how you can use Danyale's kits to create planner decor in a future post, so stay tuned for that!
I hope you enjoy getting the month of October off to a great start!

Etc by Danyale has a new set of papers, elements and word strips released this week. They are called Love Out Loud. The colors are so brilliant and yummy, THEY are a Valentine treat!
I created a box that can be used to give Valentine goodies. And the best part, it can be stored flat so I can use it again and again!
I used a file from the Silhouette Store by Lori Whitlock called Large Store Flat Box to create this. I used a 12x12 piece of red cardstock to cut the the base. Then I printed one 8.5x11 Premium Presentation Matte paper with the heart paper (ptrn9) from Live Out Load by Etc by Danyale and one 8.5x11 piece with half the heart paper (ptrn9) and half the diagonal stripe paper (ptrn5).
I then placed them individually on my Silhouette mat and cut the accent pieces for the box,
The edges of the cut pieces are inked up with VersaMagic Chalk Ink by Tsukineko in Turquoise Gem color. Using liquid glue I adhered the accent pieces to the base.
To allow the box to be able to fold into a usable box, and then flat again for storage, you place a small amount of adhesive at just the triangular spots that match-up to the 2 long sides (they are noted in the cut file for you).
Once I folded it into a box, I tied some pretty May Arts ribbon around it. Now it's all dressed up and ready for presentation!
